MEET THE TEAM

DAVID SULLIVAN B.Eng. MIET

Managing Director

David Sullivan joined SDC Industries as an Applications Engineer during the early 1990s. He then briefly became Quality Manager before moving on to become Contracts Manager.

After obtaining his HND in Electrical Engineering, in 2010-2012 David obtained a Bachelor in Engineering Management (B.Eng.) with Distinction, at University of the West of Scotland. David also became a member of the Institution of Engineering and Technology (MIET).

Due to his vast experience and knowledge of the design and engineering of HV and LV electrical projects, David was promoted, once again, to Technical Manager in 1999, prior to being appointed Managing Director in January 2016.

PETER HIGGINS

Director

Peter Higgins began his career as a heating and ventilation engineer prior to joining SDC Industries as an electrical fitter/panel wireman in 1993.

As a graded SJIB Contracts Manager and 17th Edition qualified on-site electrician with vast LV and HV experience, Peter’s main areas of expertise involve product manufacture and managing complex electrical power installations.

Peter was promoted to Production Manager in 2001 prior to being appointed Director in January 2016.

DAVID GRANT

Technical Manager

David joined the company in 2005 as a Project Engineer, and has remained within the technical department throughout his time with SDC Industries.

He started his profession as an Apprentice Electrical Fitter then later gained his college qualifications in Electrical and Electronic Engineering.
David’s key areas of expertise include project engineering, CAD drawing and project estimating. David was appointed Technical Manager during 2017.

ROBERT GRAFFEN

Production/Service Manager

Robert was initially employed by SDC Industries as a Production Assistant in 2002.

To allow Robert to progress within the company in the electrical field, he chose to undertake a Modern Apprenticeship to become a fully-qualified Electrician. As a result of this qualification, Robert was appointed Service Engineer in 2009, where he gained vast experience in the maintenance arm of the business, servicing power factor correction and voltage optimisation units at client sites throughout the UK.
Robert was promoted to Production/Service Manager in 2017.

JACQUELINE HIGGINS

Office Manager

Jacqueline initially joined SDC Industries in 2002 as Marketing Executive.

Having gained her marketing qualifications from the Chartered Institute of Marketing, Jacqueline also achieved her SVQ7 in Management during 2012.
Jacqueline was promoted to Administration & Marketing Manager in 2007, working alongside the Managing Director and the sales team to generate new business. After leaving the company for a brief time during 2015, Jacqueline returned to the position of Office Manager in 2016.
